   German law requires the notification about specific diseases to federal health agencies. Currently, this is handled paper-based by fax which is officially not allowed. Examinations have demonstrated that a migration to CDA is feasible. The CDA instance will contain 4 distinct sections which are generated from a medical record entries. The necessary text can be generated (derived) from this information as well. Currently, we are working on the implementation guide in combination with a health agency and two hospitals in one of our federal states. The transport problem should be solved by using secure webservices.
